Barnacle Billy’s, Ogunquit, Maine. If you’re looking for a Maine lobster dinner
experience which is a step above that of the rustic, no-frills clam shacks,
Barnacle Billy’s is the answer. They
have extensive indoor seating as well as sundeck seating, all of which
overlooks idyllic Perkins Cove harbor and it’s hand-cranked wooden drawbridge. The menu
includes boiled lobster, sautéed lobster, lobster rolls and lobster stew as
well as fried seafood dinners, bacon-wrapped scallops, clam chowder and
more. You can wash it all down with
wine, beer or Barnacle Billy’s special rum punch. While their lobster roll is by no means
famous (I’ve read their portions are a bit on the small side) the Ogunquit
ambiance and menu selection make Barnacle Billy’s well worth the trip. You can even check out their live webcam overlooking Perkins Cove on their website.
